You're Worth It: Making and Saving Money in 2009. Part I

Spending your spare time doing the 5 things listed below will make and save you a great deal of money. You'll earn cash, merchandise, gift cards and at the same time, you won't have to leave the comfort of you home. Doing things this way can be very entertaining and how much money you make depends on the time you invest in accomplishing you goal.

1. Research and join a focus group in your area. You will receive payment by cash or check for your time. They tend to pay anywhere from $20-$200 for 30 minutes to 2 hours worth of your time. Some companies even conduct focus groups by phone. In this case, you won't have to leave your home.

2. Be a product tester. Every product you see on the market has been tested at some point. There are companies that will send you the product for free, give you time to test and try it, then you will have to complete a survey on the product. They will even pay for you ship the empty packaging back to them. On top of that, most companies pay you to complete the survey.

3. Mystery shoppers are in high demand. Many companies will reimburse you for meals, clothing, movie outings, ect. You might also get paid on top of being reimbursed. That's double the benefit!

4. Research online coupons from your local grocery stores, clothing stores and restaurants. We all have to shop, but this is an awesome way to save money doing it. Never pay retail again! Look at the things you should have done differently, and look at the times that you exercised great decision making skills. Take all of these things into careful consideration and make 2009 a wonderful year!

Can I really make money with online surveys?

To answer this question, I can honestly say YES!!! There are a number of survey sites that pay you legitmately through paypal or a check in the mail. You typically earn from $3-$40 per survey, but this can add up over time. To earn $3 for 5-15 minutes worth of work sounds really good to me.

4. New ads get priority, so every day your ad gets placed further and further down on the list. If you wait two days, delete those ads and then enter them again. They will then return back to the top positions and your will then be able to allow more people to see your items.

OK, someone tell me, what's with the Rich Jerk? He really is a jerk, but he's truthful. I would have never thought of some of the things that he brought to mind. We spend most of our time wanting to change, but when it comes down to it, we never take the first step. We talk about how we are sick and tired of being sick and tired. We stress on how life sucks or how we don't make enough money. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why? Why haven't you done what you initially set out to do? Why aren't you where you thought you'd be in life by now? Stop thinking and act! Stop sitting on your couch waiting on things to change. Nothing is going to change about your life if you don't take that first step. Yes, it's hard, but like Nike says "Just Do It!" We weren't put on this earth to just dream. You have to move in order to get somewhere!
